Behavioral Management Associate

Position Summary

This position provides direct care of children and/or adolescents in placement with a wide range of responsibility for documentation, program activities, child supervision, therapeutic interventions, and safety skills. Because of the life experiences and trauma histories that our residents bring to their placement here, staff must not only provide adequate safety and supervision, but must be actively engaged in the process of building relationships, therapeutic engagement, and therapeutic rapport, understanding, and solving problems as part of a team, and must offer energy, safety, and commitment in their work with our residents through genuine, caring, and empathic engagement. The programs support family treatment and involvement. Providing facilitation, supervision, and support for visits and family connections with parents, relatives, and other significant people in the life of our youth.

This position also provides supervision to residents, activity planning as well as administrative responsibilities around incident reporting, case notes and medical appointments.

Qualifications/Competencies

The Behavioral Management Associate should have a Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degrees, with 1 year of working experience or high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar setting working with children and adolescents.

Must be proficient with office productivity software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must have experience using simple databases. Must be able to produce a clinical writing sample.

Salary: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00

This position may require 10–12-hour shifts that vary according to need. It may also require morning, evening and/or overnight hours. This position is full-time. Flexibility is required.
